About Us
As a young child growing up in coastal Vietnam, I was always amazed by the vibrant flowers and strange trees that painted the fields and lush hillsides around our city. I even remember witnessing my grandmother casually tossing a watermelon seed into the broken concrete beside our house and weeks later discovering a tiny vine sprouting up through the cracks. Everything grew!
After moving to America not long after, I found myself, along with my parents and siblings, devoting nearly an entire year digging and sorting wheelbarrows full of rocks dug up from yard around our new house. Our “Little House on the Quarry.” But all that hard work paid off as, shortly thereafter, flowers, fruit trees, herbs, and vegetables filled the once-rocky landscape. It was experiences like these combined with the sense of joy, warmth, and beauty flowers bring to any occasion which has now culminated with the opening of our business.
Blue Poppy Floral and Gifts specializes in floral arrangements for the home, events, and special occasions. We also have tropical house plants and a wide variety of unique gifts and treats from small and local businesses. It has long been a dream of mine to have a platform where I can share my passion for all things floral with our community.
